Explore Shadow Seeker below:
The deck explores a wide variety topics with care and guidance, such as...
Shadow Seeker is inspired by Carl Jung’s theoretical model of the psyche. In analytical psychology, the “Shadow” is an unconscious aspect of the personality that has not been brought to awareness (such as destructive patterns), meaning you're not aware that it exists. It may also refer to an individual’s subconscious as a whole. This kind of work – diving into the subconscious – is commonly referred to as “shadow work”. My own explorations of shadow work in therapy inspired this deck, as well as studies and personal insights on my path to obtaining a master's in psychology.I wanted to share what I had experienced and learned, including exercises that I came up with that helped to "bring out" and let me confront my shadow in a compassionate way.
If you're looking for a tarot or oracle deck, this deck is neither of those. You'll find, however, that's it's completely unique and a powerful tool for starting an inner journey! If you're interested in beginning shadow work, but not sure where to start, this deck is perfect to familiarize you with shadow work that is aligned with its psychological origins and modern day explorations you'd find in a more therapy-like setting. Vox Intra decks are a little like "gateways" to therapy concepts, making inner work feel a little less intimidating and scary.
Do you struggle with beginning inner work? Do you find that you want to "know yourself" better, but feel intimidated by the concept of shadow work? Are you interested in shadow work, but not sure where to start? This deck is the perfect companion for your journey. It's simple and thoughtfully designed to help you identify areas that may need healing within you. Exercises will empower you to begin a journey inward and help spark curiousity, growth, and insight.
It steers clear of metaphysical associations, instead focusing on practical activities inspired by therapeutic approaches (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to help you deepen your understanding of yourself.
